Kamaruka aims to encourage participation in a range of sports and physical activities, promoting not only physical health but also social and emotional wellbeing. There is a range of sporting activities, including team sports, individual sports, and recreational activities. These emphasize the development of fundamental movement skills such as throwing, catching, and running, which are essential for the mastery of more complex sports and activities.
At Kamaruka, team sports are incorporated to encourage the students to co-operatively work with each other to achieve results. This skill is essential and rewarding as it will be required at many stages throughout life. Sports undertaken at Kamaruka include soccer, basketball and dodgeball.
Fun Fitness Friday was introduced in 2022. This involves active games and lots of fun.
